A BIT ABOUT US
The Russo family has been growing apples at Bellevue Orchard in Officer, West Gippsland for four generations. Since 1973 Joe and Robert have expanded the orchard and continually plant newer fruit varieties. Then in 1998, an almighty hail storm in the heart of summer hit the orchard. It changed the course of the business forever, and Summer Snow Juice was born. More growth and diversification in 2012 with a range of heritage cider apple varieties planted. After a long wait and several years of anticipation, Trattore Cider made from these rare varieties was launched.
With imagination, desire, passion an commitment, the orchard's workshop was lovingly repurposed to promote and sell produce and products from the orchard, and the wider area of Cardinia Shire and beyond. Bellevue Farm Gate was launched in July 2018 selling our apples and Summer Snow juices, along with a range of preserves, chocolate-covered fruits, honey, pottery and more.
Over the last 5 years, Bellevue Farm Gate has evolved, grown and expanded. From being open for our locals during the tough years of 2020 and 2021 to easily purchase produce and everyday essentials. Extending our our offerings with barista made coffee, snacks, sweet treats and home made food, and a liquor licence to serve and sell our ciders. The Food Van installed in late 2021, and we welcomed Little Luka, our tap van, to our growing family in February 2022.
