CIRCLE OF FRIENDS COOKBOOK

The Kooweerup Community Health Service launched their Circle of Friends, Cook Connect, Community cookbook in May 2022. The cookbook began as a simple idea to promote healthy eating among the community members of the regional health service - staff, residents and their family. From this simple idea, the project became more important as the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and the sharing of food along with getting family and friends together became more difficult.

The book captures the stories of what food and favourite recipes mean to us and the memories from sharing recipes holds. With the participation of local small businesses and food producers in the Cardinia shire, it showcases the abundance of our local farms and fresh produce on our doorstep.

Bellevue Farm Gate were delighted to be part of this project with Joe and Robert Russo, and their families, sharing favourite recipes of capsicum dip and apple dessert. Plus you'll find recipes from Orchard End Farm, Sherwood Park, Cafresco Organics, Emerald Fruit Barn, Peppermint Ridge Farm, as well as local residents and community members.

Congratulations and thank you to the Kooweerup Community Health Service for their wonderful cookbook Circle of Friends, Cook Connect, Community. It's a visible feast capturing memories, recipes and stories from our cooks, connections and community, and a must have cookbook for the foodie and and home cook.

Limited copies of the cookbook are available from Bellevue Farm Gate. for $35.
